Tom Polson
Project Engineer
Tom set foot in his first food factory aged 16 and has been passionate about the industry ever since. His professional experience spans a decade–having worked for RMR Process in Australia before joining Willett Food Projects.
As a project engineer for Willett, Tom is involved with all facets of factory design–from feasibility to detailed design and execution. He’s worked on an array of projects, determining each client's vision and business needs before analysing existing and proposed systems. Overseeing the build and site management of an innovative vertical farm in Kent has been one of his most complex roles to date.
Tom has a particular interest in sustainable food systems and integrating permaculture principles into industrial food production. He has a BA in Civil & Infrastructure Engineering, is HACCP Level 3-qualified, SMSTS qualified and is a member of the IFST.
